Into the Woods

This cozy, lakefront chalet combines the romance of the Swiss alpine style with a functional floorplan to make this small space sing. The idea was to create a building that looks like it’s always been there. We brought together a collection of farmhouse antiques, family heirlooms, rustic prints, and quilts and embroidered textiles to embrace the feeling of nostalgia. “It’s every Canadian’s dream to own a cottage,” says Anne. “Cottaging is a huge part of Canadian culture, and it’s how special family memories are created on the weekends or extended summer stays.”
