No Drone Required | Large Scale Landscape Photography
Don’t you find your iPhone is full of so many summer moments right now that you start to try to choose some favourites, and then “a few” becomes 55 and then you get sidetracked with the sale emails but where would you wear that little dress and then you start to research flights and hotels because summer just can’t end. Ever? The summer captures I want to preserve – a moment, a feeling, a sense of “thank God I don’t have to drive anyone anywhere, or be anywhere right now” – are usually of water or trees or somewhere in nature where I feel peaceful. There are lots of funny ice cream messes and dock time fun too, don’t get me wrong, but overall the sense of complete and total calm happens once in a while as well. While we may not be able to bottle that feeling, we certainly can blow it up and put it on our walls so in the middle of school morning chaos, we can glance at that moment in time and find a little zen. Whether you take the photo yourself or not is beside the point. Lose yourself in some large scale photography. It’s some of my favourite art.
