Queens of the Desert | Stunning Succulents

Yes. You know about aloe vera and you have seen cacti, but have you tuned in to the rage that is succulents? We’re slightly obsessed. We’re not quite ready to go for the faux lawn but we applaud the efforts people are making to conserve water – and here’s the bonus – succulents are really, really hot right now. See? You’re not only fashion forward, but also on the cutting edge of environmental awareness right in your own home.

Succulents are fat little plants that hold water in their leaves. While they do need to be watered, they can survive periods of drought. Typically found in warm climates, we are not, but don’t despair. Succulents indoors in planters, centrepieces or even made into wall art are catching on like mad. You can have an entire indoor garden that is super simple to not only propagate but also maintain. They remind us of (insert name of any recent dinosaur themed Pixar movie that has appeared in the last 10 years here). Colorful, crazy and oh so cool. Have a look. OUT: Bonsai Trees IN: Succulents. Class dismissed.
