Sugar & Spice: Spotlight On Little Girls’ Spaces
Most of the little girls that I know have a soft spot for babies and enjoy arts and crafts and definitely know how to convince their fathers of things that their mothers would never allow. These little girls, contrary to some archaic school of thought, can also tackle their brothers, make a mean mudpie and ride, slide and splash even harder than the boys.
Girls rooms, while often somewhat softer at first glance, need to be just as durable and multi-functioning as boy spaces. Pink is always pleasing but there are so many chic ways to feather a girl’s nest that don’t necessarily bend to tradition. I love how these rooms give a distinct hint as to the personality of the dweller and also feature places to curl up, draw, play games, read – and plot the next day’s obstacle course and monkey bar competition!
