Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails
I am surrounded by little boys. I am forever amazed at their capacity for incessant motion, chatter, curiosity and ability to climb and get into just about everything you don’t want them in. And as they get bigger, it seems like their interests are growing with them. Bed time is always a flurry of activity followed by sweet and much needed slumber. Children’s bedrooms are so much more than just cozy sleeping spaces. They are a place for playing, reading, collecting, building, entertaining and later, homework. They need to be not only a haven but also quietly durable. I love a classic, clean backdrop that they can make their own imprint on – and even if it is with crayon, can be easily fixed!
Another classic worth checking out if you’re looking for an afternoon activity is Dennis Lee’s Alligator Pie brought to life at Soulpepper Theatre. A perfect respite from the usual weekend schedule. Try to fit it in if you can – I think you’ll be delighted that you did!
